9/24/2023 0 Comments Adobe encore cs6While it can be a bit buggy at times, it offers far more control over menu design and functionality when compared to the DVD building that is included with Final Cut Pro X, which we use for the majority of our video editing. The library files like templates and presets will not be automatically installed with Encore, but you can get them by following the instructions HERE.Īdobe Encore is a powerful tool and we really love to use it for DVD authoring. Just remember Adobe Dynamic Link won’t work between Premiere CC and Encore CS6. Feel free to uninstall Premiere CS6 at this time if you just want Encore. We’re using Adobe CC on OSX so we click the “Menu Extras” CC icon (By the clock on OSX)Ģ -On the “Find New Apps” row there is a button that says “Filters & Versions” so click it and choose “Previous Version”ģ - Click the Premiere “Install” button and choose “CS6″Ĥ - Once Premiere CS6 is installed, Encore CS6 will magically appear in your applications folder as well. Here’s how:ġ - Navigate to the Creative Cloud Apps download area. There is a counter-intuitive trick to downloading Encore with Adobe CC: you have to download Adobe Premiere CS6. Since we started using Adobe Creative Cloud, we noticed that the Encore DVD authoring application isn’t included. When we have a wedding video edited and completed, we need to create a great looking Blu-Ray with motion menus and chapters so it can be played in a DVD player. We deliver a lot of content on DVD and Blu-Ray to our clients. Perhaps this will be resolved and I shall update this thread. Overview Specs Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 software combines incredible performance with a sleek, revamped user interface and a host of fantastic new creative features, including Warp Stabilizer for. I was on hold for 60 minutes and had to quit to go and do a task. The pleasant lady in sales said she would transfer me to phone technical support. But as I was about to relay that information to the support person, he ended the chat session! The lady in sales said that Encore is definitely included in Creative Cloud. I called them and asked the support guy to wait on the chat session until I had an answer. However, the support person told me I needed to contact sales. Well, I was having the chat on my laptop (running XP) and I guess the support person was also on XP so the case was proved! I think it would be better if Adobe showed the application (possibly greyed out) with a note that it cannot be installed on the PC that is viewing the page. If you view the same page under Windows 7 it does show Premiere Pro. If you view the page with XP (for example), it does not show Premier Pro because Premiere Pro works only on a 64 bit OS. Now on that page, Adobe has done something clever and stupid. To prove the point, the support person pointed me to this page: The support person told me emphatically that Encore is not part of Creative Cloud and can be obtained only by buying Premiere Pro and not from the Creative Cloud subscription. I spent 30 minutes on a chat session with Adobe support. Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro all work fine. I have found that waiting or rebooting the PC does not fix the problem. It appears this is a common problem, but there does not seem to be a common solution. "Congratulations! You have successfully connected to Adobe License Management Server." I had previously got the problem identified here:įollowing the recommendations fixed the problem, but still Encore has the same issue. Please relaunch the application and provide a valid serial number." "Adobe Encore CS6 cannot run in trial mode. The first time I try to run Encore, I get the two screens shown in that thread and repeated here: I am running Windows 7 on a new Dell Vostro, have a subscription to Creative Cloud, have never installed a trial version of the software, and recently installed Premier Pro.
